Pulse Update
Hello everyone,
The interest in Pulse has been gratifying! I’ve been getting questions about compatibility, so I want to answer that, and let people know what we’re currently working on.
Compatibility: Pulse should work with any Bluetooth-enabled Blackberry with regular blackberry internet access (I don’t think that sentence needs to be clarified in any particular way: I use T-Mobile with their Blackberry internet package and it works fine).
Current development: none. My wife is on bedrest with our new son, so I’ll be out for at least today. All of our other engineers are hammered trying to meet deadlines on other projects, so I’m the only engineer working on Pulse for at least the next two weeks.
Upcoming areas of focus: proxy server performance (the client supports pretty full bandwidth of the device it runs on, but the proxy has room for love), Windows compatibility.
Expected delivery date: 11/15. Customers that have preregistered will get an email with a download URL and registration codes. You will want to set up a proxy server or get one of the super inexpensive accounts at our partner’s site
