Multiple 126+ KPS Pulse Download Speeds Reported

Three different Pulse Customers have independently reported download speeds in excess of 126 KPS using 8700g’s on T-Mobile’s EDGE network. These reports were obtained using various reputable internet bandwidth measuring sites.

Neither Garret Kelly (8700g/T-Mobile EDGE), Garret Cole (8703e/Verizon EVD0), or myself (8700g/T-Mobile EDGE) have come anywhere close to this, nor has Alex King.

I am ripping my hair out trying to figure out what is different about their systems compared to our own. If anyone in western Washington can reproduce these numbers on an 8700g, PLEASE LET US KNOW.

  1. I have been able to acheive speeds of ~100 KPS. I have been having problems remaining on the proxy server for more than 20min. but I have been able to make many skype phone calls which will be very useful for me as I travel out of the country.

Thanks for this great software and service you have provided… it works well for a beta and I look forward to many features in the future.

  2. Sorry I forgot to mention my phone system.

  3. 20 to 30 minutes uptime has been pretty consistent with what we’ve seen. I know why people are getting booted off after that and have a fix in mind, but I need to get the head space to try it out in the lab before I turn it loose on the beta server.

  4. I am in Texas. Sorry if this does not help. Good Luck.

  5. I have ben able to achieve above 200kbps download and 70-80kbps upload with a 8700g and TMobile. I also am only able to connect for 20-30 minutes.

I was seeing webpages loading incredible fast (non-cached) pages and I ran some tests and was amazed to see the performance levels measured. In any case, things are going well with the app (other than the disconnects). This product is going to be a real useful tool.
