Note to T-Mobile 8700g Users
If you are experiencing continued failure to get Pulse working on your 8700g you may want to consider updating your Blackberry OS to V4.1.0.346. This has proven useful in at least a few instances.
You can download this directly from T-Mobile
If you are using 4.1.0.284 and it is working for you there is no need to update. In fact, some users have reporting faster performance with 4.1.0.284.
You can find your version by going to Options/About on your Blackberry and checking out the listed version number.

Well - I did the update to 4.1.0.346 and things appear pretty stable but the speed has dropped to 60kbps. I tried it a few times using the same testing site I used when I was seeing 200kbps+ download speeds. Maybe this was the difference that some were seeing….
In any case - it doesn’t matter to me. A stable connection is good.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I got it working with 4.1.0.284… with speeds over 100kbps. weird?
When I was running 4.1.0.284 I was achieving 200kbps - now I get 60kbps with 4.1.0.346
As a followup, I downgraded back to 4.1.0.284 and my previous performance with Pulse returned. I am now getting >150bkbps download and >80kbps upload as opposed to 60kpbs download and 40bkps upload using 4.1.0.346.

Guy. You are absolutely correct. Based on what you experienced, I decided to downgrade to 4.1.0.284.
I just hit 203 kps download/71 kps upload on my 8700g.
This changes everything.
Very cool. That’s great news.
Anyone know where to find a copy of 4.1.0.284? I can’t find that old firmware anywhere and T-mo has replaced it with the “new and improved” one.
