Brain Murmurs was a software R&D company inspired by Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park lab. Founded in 2002 by Dan Pasco and Lisa Hartin, Brain Murmurs grew into a strong development team supporting ourselves with software revenue, contracting, and consulting.

Brain Murmurs is no longer an active development company, however, if you need to you can drop us a line at

Our clientele included Dun & Bradstreet, Cray, Nielsen Media Research, Tap Tap Tap, Newsgator, Twisted Pair, Getty Images, and ApartmentGuide.com (as featured in Apple’s television ad). Our product lineup included Mentat project sharing service and Blackberry application.

The Brain Murmurs team was a collective of computer industry veterans with a combined experience of over 70 years in disciplines as diverse as rocket science (really!), Operating System development, distributed programming, enterprise architecture, 3D graphics, video games, search engine technology, electronic commerce, global logistics, and warehouse management.

Brain Murmurs became inactive in October 2010, so that we could focus our energies on Black Pixel, our iOS spin-off company founded in 2007
